The Gloria Project is a collaborative project on the intersection of photography, music, pop culture, and the Internet.
Gloria is strength, sexuality, and exaltation. The name Gloria has a long history with music. From religious hymns, to rock and roll songs, Gloria means the greatest of desires. In this project, profile pictures of Gloria’s from Myspace have been turned into sheet music for instruments digitally. With references to the organic as well as the mechanical and the natural as well as the artificial, this body of work ties the various representations of Gloria together in a new form.
